The Kapital is looking for a variety of original content for any subject or topic, such as
articles, columns, essays, opinions, short stories, poetry, anecdotes, comics, artwork,
photography, music, and videos/short movies.
For prose and poetry submissions: you can attach the following files in the
email: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .txt, .odt (no .pages or .pdf, please). You can also
paste your submission in the body of the email. We have no word count limit,
but keep the length of your piece reasonable. If you would like to do a serial story,
send an inquiry first.
For visual art and digital art submissions: if you would like to send artwork, send us the
highest resolution of the piece (we prefer .jpg or .png). For music and videos, provide us
the link to your work (youtube, soundcloud, etc.), so we can embed it in the website. Include a short description
of your work for our print run, as music and videos cannot be reprinted on a piece of paper. The same
goes with other visual pieces. Our print journal is black and white.
Current and former students of Widdifield are welcomed to submit. Include in the
the email your name, a short description of yourself, and the year you are in
(or, if your are an alumni, the year you graduated). Anonymous submissions are permitted only
to fiction and poetry.

will result to an immediate rejection.
